General public interest in cryptocurrency is near zero

99% of people have given up on cryptocurrency. The price will stay dead until a new generation of younger people starts to take interest in its capabilities |

Average person has the patience and attention span of a hummingbird and needs constant hyper-stimulation to stay engaged (see: fake news).

And BTC doesn't strictly need retail hype to increase from here. But if there is to be another retail-heavy boom like 2017 it will only happen on the back of new all-time highs combined with major real-world use cases to drive enough simultaneous excitement to entice normies again.
