they are more interested in "alts" and less btc -- maybe partially due to the fact that as a big hedge fund, they can procure cheesecake terms for ICOs |

their best trades aren't on coinbase, and they aren't really available to the average joe shmoe with 150k or whatever to invest. imagine a 50% ICO discount. the theme of 2018 is that these deals are increasingly becoming available only to big players. but yeah, it makes no sense for someone to invest in a bitcoin fund or whatever, unless they have issues with custody |
