It's admittedly a US-centric theory (unless Korea and Japan collect taxes in April as well, Idk), but the US is a major crypto market, and crypto's liquidity is still shit enough that anyone trying to sell tens of millions of crypto can end up wiping a billion or more off total market cap. In other words, even marginal shifts in buying/selling activity can have outsized effects on the market. |
