Exchanges can go down or halt transfers and there is nothing you can do about it. Luckily, I don't have money on Kraken, but I do have ETH/BTC on Bittrex. Those fuckers allowed me to register, trade, etc, and now are holding my coins hostage unless I upload photo identification to their site. It's absurd and makes me MAF.
