As an aviation focused city I am obv a fan. Another place with a dead downtown core though. No street traffic or businesses just parking garages and office towers. Was NOT a lot going on in Topeka.

Seems lovely. Will you be hitting the Kansas Aviation Museum out by McConnell AFB?

Did you see my lunch thread from earlier today? It was epic.

I didn't see the thread. I was at the Kansas Aviation Museum earlier today, was 180. My dad's PT-17 was built right there and first flew off that runway. As a Cessna and Stearman pilot Wichita is 18000000 history. Museum has a 180000 BUFF that bombed the Vietnamese and a 727 that had the DB Cooper stairs down.

That sounds incredibly 180. I had no idea your dad had a PT-17. I would have assumed he had a closed cockpit Cessna. I had no idea that you were into that open cockpit stuff. That's pretty cool.

Here's my thread:

Someday I'll do something interesting. But not today. Or even tonight.

I went but it was summer and oppressively hot and I was just running from plane to plane to get into the shade. I guess go during winter but it did seem really cool and Tucson is quite an interesting place. You should do an American west or Texas road trip for bort content
