I literally don't even consider my PMs an investment, I consider them a hedge. I fully accept that I may die without having ever "made a penny" from holding them.
Contrast that with stonks, crypto, certain types of collectibles, etc. -- all of which I own, and none of which I would own if I didn't expect them to be significantly appreciating assets over the long haul (assuming that we don't find ourselves in a situation where my PM parachute has to get activated). |
