The husband in this story was hand picked by the overbearing parents because he was the right caste, strain of Hindu, and whatever else they think matters. They also shunned their gay daughter. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when all of their friends hear the news and start gossiping. My understanding is that the parents have been lied to by the daughter, and so have no idea that the real problem is that they raised a whore and coerced her into an unhappy marriage. But the husband’s parents are part of the same community and know the real story. Would be hilarious to watch the competing narratives get worked out in the gossip. I *really* wish I could be there to see the parents learn the truth.

And don’t spare any pity for the husband. He’s a piece of shit who cheated on her the whole time they were dating and probably has been since. Also don’t spare any pity for their kids, they’re all ugly.

In summary, everyone involved in this story should have to go back and you should never allow your wife to befriend the family pediatrician.
