I'll say it: I condone burning down warehouses, destroying CEOs' homes

i'm not going to do it, but if it happens, i'm willing to look the other way. i think that's a fairly common attitude.

so are soldiers in a war. so is the janitor at gc megacorps.
most people are good. the ceo luigi murked is likely no different than any other healthcare ceo, and there are thousands of people under him that'll do the same job he did. everyone here has facilitates gc.
but to cause the system to change there needs to be pressure. no big changes happen without it. some good eggs get broken. it's unavoidable.
there isn't some evil kabal behind the scenes pulling strings. everyone is just rationally acting in their own interest. when its in their interest not to exploit people, they wont. until then they will, and they have to. it's not like nike can just start paying workers more and sell jordans for $1000.

The median severance package for a public company CEO that gets fired is $6.5 million, several times what the average American who doesn't get fired will make in their whole life combined.

CEOs don't matter is the thing
the middle upper/professional class is the problem

lmao what
you're right that the problem is systemic but it's not like sachs or mckinsey exists because of government policy, or that pmc types are "voting" for it. lots of these people support deregulation and eliminating a lot of red tape.
pmc push their kids into pmc careers because they're the best way to earn a high wage with a good QOL. if you had kids you'd advise them to become a plumber over an account or coder? please.
if we want to bring manufacturing and actual industry back we need to make the us competitive and for those jobs to be attractive. that type of restructuring would be very painful, so we don't. didn't you oppose the tariffs?

This country has always lacked any kind of revolutionary drive outside of the 1770s. Even at the height of the workers' union movement the membership in socialist and communist parties was much lower than you would find in Europe. There is a persistent Horatio Alger bootstrap mentality among the folk.
But that can change. Trumpism, oddly enough, is a sign that people are starting to look at our top-heavy system and question it.
