Theyre clearly very embarrassed & want the whole "Metroid Prime 4" band aid ripped as fast as possible
No fanfare, no hype, just a dead drop trailer, hoping to hide it in the middle of a sea of other ruinous garbage, to launch over the holidays and hopefully be forgotten before new years, probably Immediate shadow drop to eShop Zero respect given to the game in that announcement.
Nintendo has zero faith in this game. You can see why it's been in development hell since the original Switch announcement. They likely also despise the gaijin audience for Metroid out of hand, its never been big in JP, they clearly dont even understand the appeal of it
