Catholic "fasting" rules on lent are straight out of disco fries playbook

Date: February 22nd, 2023 7:53 AM Author: Curious Useless Brakes Ash Wednesday is one of two yearly days of obligatory fasting and abstinence for Roman Catholics, along with Good Friday.
Fasting means a person is permitted to eat one full meal. Two smaller meals may also be taken, but they are not to equal that of a full meal.

Don’t try to kill yourself with it, but it can provide a nice sustained “kick” to the end of life get water fast. I’m doing 5.5 days total right now. 4-days water fasting, 1.5 days dry fasting. I will report on my results. Already 12+ hours into the dry fast part and feeling pretty good. The real tell will be tonight (if I have muscle spasms, low back pain). I’ll let you know. Instead, drink electrolyte water (aka SNAKE JUICE), which is just 2L water + 1 tsp baking soda + 1 tsp no salt (KCl) + 1/2 tsp table salt + 1/2 tsp food-grade epsom salt. I don’t drink magnesium citrate or sodium bicarbonate with my electrolyte water. Just sodium chloride, potassium chloride, ACV, and lemon juice from a squeezed lemon. |
