"AI" (crappy neural networks that have nothing of value to say) is very likely just a poison pill from a gang of bandits.
Personally I never see people using this junk and indeed have ceased to see even visual art made by it anywhere but certain less reputable parts of the internet

it is still not creative. you won't get original works of art or literature out of even the smartest AIs
but that's still enough to kill it as a pursuit. most artists aren't employed creating great paintings hanging in museums. most writers aren't pynchon. the 99% will be replaced, but the very existence of humdrum creative professions is also part of what drives the 1% getting involved in the first place.
