Caltech in 2017 with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering --> part-time teacher since March 2020 at C2 Education ("a private company that helps students prepare for the SAT and ACT exams") --> masters California State University Dominguez Hills in 2025 This screams that he got into Caltech by AA and barely got moved through also because of AA and then flamed out in life. |

The AA boost might get you through school, but it doesn't guarantee employment. I've been in the tech industry for like 16 years now and have seen tons of URMs get hired but then see them being isolated and not contributing anything because they're incompetent; coworkers don't trust the quality of their work and occasionally become hostile toward the AA URM. Normally it'd get a white or Asian guy fired, but the URM just floats around in shame until quitting or getting extra special treatment but still failing and getting laid off. If he fails at basic, simple tasks, coworkers will start to complain about him. Even with all those complaints he can still fail upwards, but it's less likely.
