and you're right, but how many people like that are doing a lot of travel? sure, they seem worthwhile for autistic dorks that have to travel for work and want to game at the mariott. but that's a very small consumer base, yet gaming laptops are everywhere.
i believe the market is primarily for dorks who are obsessed with tech specs but never actually use the damn thing. or they have it docked into a monitor and kb+m, and then it's functionally a desktop. also video editors and shit that need the specs for other things, and i feel bad for those people most of all because the only product that suits their needs has gay ass RGB LEDs all over the place |

while this is probably true, i still believe that gaming laptop purchases are almost always aspirational and are used at home 99.99% of the time. and purchased by people that have no business spending that kind of money just so they can have a gaming rig the handful of days a year they travel.
then again, these people otherwise spend their money of pokemon cards and shit. |
