The problem is he's a fat doddering Boomer like most of them, so he spends his time careening from one random idea (tax deducation for itnerest payments on new cars!) to the next (envoy to Greenland!) as the country slowly inevitably bankrupts itself. In 10 years, we'll have an aging decadent society of dying Boomers with childless masses, a society that only exists on health care, no Social Security, no affordability in housing, and a technocratic class in charge injecting AI into everything because we've spend the last 20 years failing to do the very basic work of cutting benefits for the old, deregulating housing development, cutting health care costs from the subsidized state, and other shit. He's not unique, he's just the latest manifestation as things get progressively worse and as we more perilously approach the end, and we are fucked. |
