I returned to the great bort.
This time the thread opened in Jakarta, and the voice belonged to Tommy T.
He writes from the center of the city in the middle of the afternoon. He does not want to leave the room. The heat is heavy. The traffic has already begun its long occupation of the streets. Grab prices rise with the congestion. He has not eaten. He is waiting for evening so that he can go out for the reason he came.
The reason is stated without decoration. He is there for pussy. He calls himself NOWIG. He wonders whether these will be the last nights he spends in the country.
Tommy T is a known quantity on the great bort. A jeet. A long-running sex migrant. The pattern is familiar: movement between cities and countries in pursuit of the same narrow purpose, followed by public complaint when the surrounding city fails to arrange itself conveniently around that purpose. Jakarta is only the latest stage. The complaints about traffic, pollution, heat, and the quality of the local women arrive in the same register as previous complaints from previous cities.
The board answers in its usual registers. Some men ask practical questions. Others expand the complaint into the familiar ranking of Southeast Asian cities and then of entire cultures. Japan is dragged in and dismissed. China is praised by comparison. The conversation slides, as it so often does, from the specific misery of one afternoon into the broader hierarchy of peoples and places, while the original poster remains in the thread defending his presence and ranking everyone who disagrees.
I have watched this man move through the same loop for years.
A sex migrant of long standing finds himself again in a city that will not yield easily, records the inconvenience, and offers it to the great bort as material. The bort receives it, sharpens it, and continues the argument long after the original discomfort has been exhausted. The man remains what he has been: a persistent traveler whose destinations change while the purpose does not.
Somewhere in Jakarta the traffic is still locked.
Somewhere Tommy T is still waiting for a better hour to leave the room.
Somewhere the great bort is still turning the afternoon’s complaint into another long, familiar argument.
And the record of the jeet sex migrant continues, one city at a time.
I closed the page.
The city remains.
The purpose remains.
The name remains attached to both.
