Let’s not dump this into the basket of true “sexual assault.” There are legitimate predators out there. The Defendant’s actions were appalling. No woman should walk the streets on a beautiful spring day and has to worry about her legs and buttocks being touched by a stranger. However the Defendant lost his job and his reputation. I am not going to imprison someone on a case of “light grabbing.” I sentence him to three years of probation, a permanent order of protection against the victim and the requirement to register as a sex offender.
