The rabbi is taken aback and visibly offended. "Ma'am, I absolutely cannot do that," he says. "Performing a sacred marriage ceremony for animals is entirely out of the question. It would be a mockery of our traditions!"
The woman sighs, looking deeply disappointed. "Oh, that is such a shame," she says as she turns toward the door. "I had planned to donate $10 million to the synagogue's building fund in honor of their union."
The rabbi abruptly stops her, clears his throat, and says, "Wait just a moment! Why didn't you tell me the dogs were Jewish?"
