Perfect example of how our culture and traditions have gone to shit in the past 25 years.

Once upon a Christmas: Huey, Dooey, and Louie get stuck in a groundhog day situation and learn the valuable life lesson to not be ungrateful shits at Christmas and to appreciate your family.

Max and Goofy show the value of providing for the less fortunate and keeping the belief in Santa alive for as long as possible even when shitheels like Pete tell you it's a load of crap.

Mickey and Minnie are dirt poor and despite wanting to get nice gifts they end up realizing it's the thought that counts.

Fast forward 22 years to Wish Upon a Christmas:

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Cuckoo-loca for some fucking reason are apparently rich as shit now and are spending Christmas Eve on a travelshrew ski trip in the French Alps. The whole plot revolves around them trying to make it back home for their Friendsmas and buying overpriced shit in the ski town's boutique shops all while talking on cell phones and relying on public transit. Max, the Ducklings, the extended Duck family, and even Mickey's dog are not mentioned once the entire movie. Instead they want to spend Christmas with their "best pals" rather than immediate family.

Pretty much sums up how society has gone to shit.
